Ways to Financially Support McGuffey
McGuffey Art Center is one of the oldest and largest member-run arts collectives in the country. Since 1975, our not-for-profit cooperative has provided the community with a vibrant art center in downtown Charlottesville. With some 50 Resident Artists and 150 Associate Members, we work to practice our art and share our creative spirit with the local community.
While more than 90 percent of our operations budget is paid for by our members, we do ask for donations and contributions to support certain needs, especially community outreach efforts, and the preservation of our historic building. Please consider supporting us by becoming a Friend of McGuffey, a Sponsor, or an individual donor.

Friends of McGuffey is a group of art enthusiasts who enjoy meeting and interacting with working artists. By joining, you will receive:
Invitations to events exclusively for Friends, such as small group artist demonstrations, specialist artist talks, and hands-on art classes
Opportunities for you and a guest to meet, visit and talk art with other Friends of McGuffey at a monthly studio gathering hosted by a Resident Artist during a First Friday event
A guided tour of the building (for you and a guest) with a staff member or Resident Artist
Regular emails with information about upcoming opportunities for Friends of McGuffey
