Sam Gray: Gaean Reveries
SARAH B. SMITH GALLERY
Artist Sam Gray explores mystical connections between people and the natural world by merging and juxtaposing their forms. The pieces in this exhibit span a variety of painting and drawing media but they are connected in a spirit of anthro-botanical surrealism. Her work celebrates the divine feminine, natural creation, universality, mystery, and inner reflection.
McGuffey Members Summer Group Show
Colorful, fun summer show by McGuffey Members with many different media represented including glass, clay, paintings, photographs and sculpture.
The Incubator Show
Showcasing the work of the six artists working in the incubator studio for emerging artists at McGuffey Art Center, this show is a culmination of their year of creating at McGuffey. This drawing is part of my series on climate change, depicting what is left of an ancient forest that succumbed to earth changes, when the forest became flooded by saltwater. Our current coastal erosion and flooding due to glacier melt will cause more such episodes, but will create ghost cities.
